Cars go by every second of the day, something I'm not very used by.

I see these sandals everywhere here, this style, my feet and toes feel so naked in these, but I bought these anyway, cause I think they look so nice on others and I really need to feel comfortable with showing my feet. I personaly think my feet are....hrrm....eek.

Well, the day I bought these sandals, Jay's mom treated me out for a pedicure, my very first pedicure! Believe it or not...I don't really like people to touch my feet however I know they need to be cleaned and pampered. So I really feelt beyond uncomfortable when I had to take of my shoes and take a seat on that chair and let the cute girl clean my feet, it felt wierd. However...after a while, OMG! it was amazing, I got massaged and everything, KUDOS to her for doing my feet cause they were not a pretty sight, but now they do look better and I'm starting to really like these sandals on me, simple yet comfortable.

One thing I really like about the neighbourhood of Hasbrouck hts are all the local restaurants, you got pretty much everything between Chinese food to Italian, various diners and kitchens, spanish food...you name it. Last night me and Jay had an absoluely DELICIOUS (seriously...genuine) Italian 3 course dinner at an restaurant near by.

NOW that's cheese.

In Sweden going to a nice/cozy restuarant where you get served it cost a lot, a lot of money. Here, we had our delicious 3 course Italian dinner for (only) 16$. (130 SEK) You Swedes know that's amazingly cheap right, at home it would cost more then twice as much?!
You gotta love it, to treat yourself out every once and a while.

Today, another sunny day, I've been wokring on my tan, and I must say...I'm already after just less then an hour out in the sun, already getting some color. Yay! Slowly but carefully. The sun is, compared to Sweden, super hot here, you can feel it burning your skin the first second you walk outside the house!!
Wore my new strapless dress today that I bought at H&M before, cost only 49 SEK, best price ever for such a nice basic wardrobe piece.

*sigh*I like Jersey and all, but you really need a car to get around here, like me and Jason can't do spontaneous things, like go to a dinner in the middle of the night, drive to the mall when we want, the local Seven11, Wendy's for their cheap and delicious mini burgers on the value menu. You name it...stupid fun stuff. Well, we have the bus going to NYC down the block...so I guess I shouldn't complain much, BUT STILL! :P Rent a car is too expensive. *weep*
Now we're going out for some Italian dinner....we'll walk to the closest and best one. Yum!

Well, as you know my passion for rings will never die, and I think Forever21 is a good place to start treasure hunting at. GAH! I'm gonna go nuts, I think I'll spend ALL day in the shop. The ring above and sandals are all from F21. I have yet not been there but I can not wait. Another thing that I need to get are some comfy, simple yet chic brown sandals. Right now I got ballerinas and my toes need to breath in this heat. It's either ballerinas or wedges, sooo I need flats!!

Anyone know any other place that has good affordable shoes ? Help.

Mighty proud over my local find.
Sun has been shining bright, the weather is kick ass! even though it's hot as hell, I like it. I'm feeling flabby and pale, I need some color to my skin, I need some summer freshness! The summer glow!! :) you know what I'm saying?
So far I've been going up early in the morning, real proud over myself, I usualy don't wake up around 9 am. I've been having a nice Chef sallad for lunch with Jason's mom and relative, They are so nice to me, And Jay's mom, such a sweetheart...I'm so grateful for the hospitality and all. Btw, I really think that all Americans so far I've meet are SO NICE!!! Except the old man at the cashier today at Rite Aid. I didn't get my discount and he was a bit rude so I didn't dare to ask why. *sigh* Typical me.
Anyways, visited a newly opened Tibetian store, and OH MY GOD! they had a lot of goodies, clothes, bags...accessories, you name it. I found a bunch of Beautiful! BEAUTIFUL!! rings, I want them all!!! Mostly silver rings with beautiful colored stones, different sizes and shapes...it was HEAVEN! Well, they were a bit pricey, so I just got one for 25$ the silver on my finger, pretty isn't it?

Benadryl knocked me out

Got these pattern harem pants the day before I left Sweden and decided to bring them with me even though I didn't get the chance to give them much thought or fitting. Colorful pattern harem pants is something that I normally would NEVER wear, cause of my size. However I love the print and colors, the fit is alright, not sure about the top, but I've added a thin waist belt now to give the outfit some shape.
I've slept more then 12 hours today?! I'm a bit sick...caughing and such. So I took 2 pills of Benadryl last night and got knocked out at 8 pm (never gone to sleep that early in a loooong time!), still feeling a bit beat, lol, but I just desperately wanna get well!

US Of A

Finaly we have arrived, I'm really excited, the trip it self was a bit exhausting, 8 hour flight, packed, dropped my new favorite ring behind my seat, never found it...so sad! Had to pay extra for an extra bag at check in, sucked. Airport cafés are overpriced!! Arrived at Newark airport and it is HOT outside, hot and sticky. I can get used to that ;) maybe work on my tan? Hmm...
I've so far taken a cold shower, had a lovely chicken dinner, two coors light beers and Im starting to feel the buz, been picking at some chocolate covered pretzels, LOVE! and soon Im gonna un pack my suitcase wich I've been really good at packing, only 14 Kg, can stuff it with almost 10 more Kg, score! :)
Took a short stroll around the yard around the house and took some pictures, and you can clearly feel the American vibes around this house, I like!!

Boring but fun at the same time...

I feel so boring for not updating the blog with "fun" stuff, OOTD's etc etc. I've been working AND cleaning AND packing...with some help from dear friends I'm as good as done with the cleaning now, only the easy parts left. Thank you so much!! BUT I still have to pack for 2 months. Jesus! I'll be gone for 2 months, and I'm supposed to limit down my wardrobe to one suitcase!? Gah! Try to be smart now Jennifer, mix, match and combine! right? Wish me luck!
The blog might be somewhat quite now until I arrive in the US, but do not fear...I will be back ;)
Can't wait to go on vacation!
