Been on the hunt for cute flats and flat boots to wear for work, Kudos to all the ladies that can strut around in heels working retail, I CAN NOT, it will be the end of my feet as I've already walked close to death with more poor soles and heels. Gliding my feet as I walk through the house in slow-motion like an old lady. 

Ay ay ay...Standing on your feet for hours and hours a day is hard, so you need a pair of comfortable flat shoes, and then you can just slip a comfortable cushiony sole in there and you're set!

AND I CAN BELIEVE I FORGOT TO CHECK OUT ALDO!

THE RUG CARDIGAN

So for the Thanksgiving Holiday I wanted to wear something comfortable and warm for my very first thanksgiving dinner ON thanksgiving DAY :P

My Husband Jason calls it "a rug" but I really adore this open cardigan with patched details. It just really felt "Thanksgiving-ie" you know. The colors and the style felt a little earthy and country-ish. It matches the colors of the season, omg, see how I'm going on here trying to justify and defend this cardigan that my husband thinks looks like a rug. He's just too much..."Aah, you're wearing the rug again, do you have to wear that rug?" SMH.....Men....

Anyway, I had a blessed Thanksgiving day, and I hope you guys had it too. The weekend is over, I was off for another day today, felt amazing, so I'm back to work tomorrow, back to usual.

 

Spent my day off today with wonderful and lovely Shay from A Thick Girls Closet, love this girl!

It was a blast as always and pictures will be posted from our fun little day out.

Eloquii's style and feel reminds me of LOFT and ANN TAYLOR, I must say and I really really like that! :) It's so ANN. Many of their pieces remind me of something you'd typically find at Ann Taylor, and since I've started working there and wearing more of their clothes I like that polished and feminine look. SO Chic!

Got a comment from Vizion Heiry stating just that, that my style ever since I started working at Ann has become more Classic, that really got me thinking...IT HAS!

The Matching Blues!

Hey lovelies!

Just wanted to make a quick update with an outfit post that is long passed due, lol, this is what I wore last week for work when I was thinking about WHAT to pair with my blue skirt. I ended up pairing it with my favorite peplum top from Ann Taylor with a matching new statement necklace that I bought at HM, the blue stones went perfect with the bright blue skirt. Fell in love with this combo.

As well fell in love with sheer stockings, lol, I gotta get me some more ones because I (of course) ripped mine already, my nails are just a mess, working with my hands at the Café all the time, washing my hands every few minutes and doing dishes, you feel me. My nails are bound to rip stockings. :P

So I survived Thanksgiving, ate like a pig, as well as Black Friday working at the mall, I heard horror stories before hand, so I prepared myself and expected the worst, it wasn't that bad at all. We were well staffed and both my jobs and work went by smoothly, thank you jesus because I was at work from 6.30 AM starting at Ann Taylor, ending my day at the E-bar at 11PM, on my feet might I add basically all those hours besides when I had my two 30 min breaks. Giving myself a pat on the back for managing this one...I'm surprised I don't feel more bloated today because I no joke ate like a pig yesterday, so much food. anyway, thanksgiving was great, wonderful!

I'm thankful for a lot of things but I got to say in this moment Im thankful for my family AND my new family here in the US, with my hubby, my mother and father in-law are amazing people and so generous and kind. I'm blessed. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Sienna Couture: Diamante Detail Tunic Review

Ever heard of Sienna Couture? No?...well now you  will. ;)

They offer a range of fabulously modern and classic look for plus size women, and their prices are really affordable. WIN WIN!

I've been fortunate enough to be able to receive and review one of their pieces they offer, thank you Sienna Couture! As I got to take a look at my options I was happily surprised over how I really LOVED ALL OF THE PIECES that I could choose between and the decision to just choose one got even harder and harder as I closely scooped through the details of the pieces. You feel me? :P

I always do that to myself, I over think it.

 

But at the end I choose this super cute tunic dress and this is the description that got me sold:

Add in a touch of glitz and glam into your wardrobe with this striking tunic, featuring a diamante embellished round neckline and jeweled buttoned cuffs. Team this with killer heels and a dazzling clutch to complete the look

Got it in a size 16 and it fits like a glove, so it's very true to size. It's well made and feels great on, super comfortable. It hides that troublesome area, the tummy. (for me.) I usually go for a dress that gathers in the waist to give a more flattering shape but this dress still looks really flattering without the insinuated waist. It falls beautifully and I totally adore the Sleeve and collar embellishment!!

I highly recommend this dress to anyone that is looking for a simple yet chic, flattering "little black dress"

Flowers in the garden

Hi Lovelies!

Just wanted to do a quick outfit post before I have to hit the bed, I'm already passed my bedtime hour. ( I do this all the time to myself, smh.)

I wore this to work at Ann Taylor the other day, love this combo! 

A black mini skirt with a tucked in top at the waist can never go work, so flattering for the curvy figure! I will most likey wear something similar tomorrow for work, I'm thinking BLUE skirt (the same style as the black I'm wearing here.) Paired with a dark navy blue and white striped top, with a aqua blue stone statement necklace. Can I do black stockings with that? Hmmm...What do you guys think? I have to wear stockings, it's November lol :P

Anyways, Ill figure it out tomorrow morning.

Fashion Inspiration: Lindex Generous +size

Lindex, One of the few places to shop Plus size clothes in Sweden. Their plus size line is called "Generous" which is pretty cute :) You can check out their line here, Click here! ;)

Their size range from a European size 44 and up, which is about a US size 14/16.

Their plus size line keeps getting better and better and I can't wait to see what kind of styles and pieces they release next.

Blue Butterfly Dress Featuring Johntines Boutique

HEJ HEJ

Tia Jackson owner of Johntines Boutique for plus size fashionistas was so kind to send me this fabulous, bold blue dress from her shop in Brooklyn NY. I first spotted it when I visited her shop this late summer, Tia was rocking the black one and I fell in love with mesh cut outs and mesh draping, totally "digged" it :P and I was like "I want to rock that dress too!!" ;)

So she went ahead and sent me it in blue, and I love it even more! Thank you Tia! You're a doll!

We all have a million black dresses, I'm pretty sure. So this nice blue tone is a pleasant addition to my wardrobe of almost all BLACK dresses ;P. Blue hasn't necessary been my "go to" color in the past but it's really growing on me, ever since the 4th of July when I wore that bright blue peplum top, love!

 

The dress fits great, it's flattering at the waist, and the edgy details adds a cool feel to it. The mesh draping catches the wind and it's gorgeous. Decided to pair it with black stockings, black suede biker jacket and boots to add to that "edgy" style, added blingy bracelet and cute necklace to make it more feminine. Might I add as well, I'm a sucker for zipper details, love that this one has a zipper detail in the back.

This blue beauty is so easy to wear and it really pops!

Just wanted to share a quick outfit post, wore this dress to work the other day, I love love love this dress. The look and the feel to it is amazing, and it looks so high end, Silly I know but this dress is super flattering with it's panel details and super comfortable.

Just wish it has longer sleeves appropriate for the season so that I can wear it more, I don't like to wear short sleeves during fall and winter, feel me?

This Weeks Wishlist from HM+

HM has released a few more pieces in their HM plus collection and I'm really liking these pieces. This powder pink blouse with embellished collar, LOVE! and this Black lace short sleeve peplum top, you can never go wrong with a peplum, and black lace! Perfect! ;)

Paired it with HM's plus size colored denim in a perfect real and pink color. Added with of course their amazing accessories, love these two statement necklaces, that are affordable yet super chic and stylish. These two pairs of shoes makes my heart melt, have yet to spot these in-stores but as soon as I lay my eyes on these teal wedge sneakers they WILL BE MINE! lol :P

OOTD On the Boulevard

The other day I met up with my Filipina bestie Gie in our town of Hasbrouck Heights, NJ for lunch at my favorite Chinese place on the Boulevard.

Funny story of how we met, I'd spotted her many times before we started talking at our local Rite Aid, she worked there. Until finally we started talking as I was doing a little make-up shopping she asked me for nail polish color opinions, and then later on we started talking as she rung me up at the register because I was sending a package home to my brother in Sweden, So she asked where, and I told her, home to Sweden I've just moved here recently and she was like ME TOO, I'm from Philippines. At that point I felt really stupid...I thought I had a pretty good PINOY SENSE but obviously not this time because as she said it was like DUH! Of course, I see it now....you

re definitely Pinay, and I'm like OMG! I'm half Pinay!!

It was a match make in heaven ;)

She also got married coming to America and has gone through all the visa paper work that I have, only earlier then me. I'm still waiting on my Green Card and the estimated processing time at my Service Center is 19 months (!!!!) More on that later...crazy I know, So depressing to think about that waiting time. SMH.

Anyway, we're in the same boat and it is so nice to have found a Filipina friend in the same town as I that share the same experience as me. YAY!

This flowery top was such a steal from Ann Taylor, originally 79$, on SALE for 39,99$, Marked down to Final SALE for 9,99$, with an additional 30% off because we're running a special promotion in stores and online and VOILA the top cost me 6,92$ Something, isn't that INSANE! I love it!

When I started working in the store about 2 months ago this was full price and I was close to buying it but wanted to go for simple and timeless staple pieces that I could wear for work through out time so I didn't want to go for a bright pattern that will not look current with the next "Store set" and "Trends". But for 6$ who can say no to that! No thoughts added, I just bought it! It's given.

Dark and Simple Featuring ClosetForCurves

 

Hi you all!

So my original plan was to update earlier with another outfit post BUT (the dummy as I am, so clumsy) I spilled a bit of water on my keyboard the other night and after an hour or so of this water (I guess) seeping into my computers "brain" it totally got retarded and started pressing keys I wasn't pressing and yeah...it was the end of it. RIP old computer and hello and welcome to my new one that I'm typing on now, yay! It's nice...meh-he-he.

ANYWAY, this peplum top I love!

My very first (and not only) purchase from "Closet For Curves" on Instagram! HOLLA!
So genius to sell plus size clothes on Instagram, so easy and accessible. Many of the clothes are totally affordable and super chic, you guys got to check this girls store out on Instagram! @closetforcurves. OK!

So yes, totally adore this black peplum top for (I believe I paid) 15$. Such a steal. It's super comfortable, it was the right amount of stretch in it, love the back zipper, the shoulder flaps, it's not flimsy, it's a total steal. So I did not only get this top but also bought a zig zag pattern bodycon dress that I'm very excited about featuring as well later on, because of Sandy I'm still waiting for mail to arrive to the house, smh. Damn you Sandy!
